As explained at the 🔗, the reviews took place between April 2016 (Beijing) and October 2018 (Rome) and were chaired by the OECD. They were scheduled to continue in 2019 (pairing Argentina and Canada), but were delayed. Then the COVID-19 pandemic created an interruption that proved to be permanent.

🌪️As global climate disasters mount, the insurance protection gap is widening.
Natural disasters caused US$320 bn in losses globally in 2024, according to Munich Re.

But Japan remains an exception: its insurance protection gap isn’t yet pronounced.👇
How Japanese insurers are keeping the climate protection gap at bay
While the insurance protection gap is widening in many countries due to climate change, the same isn't true of Japan as yet even though premiums are on the rise.

With all the noise on climate @netzerotracker.bsky.social's Stock Take is the signal.

The finding that sticks in my head:

🇺🇸US corporate net zero targets grew 9% over last 12 months, 279 ➡️ 304

Yes, some are blowing with the political wind. But more are stepping up.

YES energy for UK steelmakers is costly
NO it's not due to net-zero
YES it is due to GAS
