im so spoiled by writing mostly rust recently.

In rust it would never occur to me that something like that line 175 would incur extra work (just expected the compiler to figure out I only use the object for a function call).

Honestly still surprised clang with -O2 wouldn't 'inline' that

I picked up a "sold as broken" 3D Printer, and it seems to be modded with Noctua fans. I really should probably just break it down for parts (yummy stepper-motors and fans ) but I also feel guilty not trying to fix it properly. Maybe its something easy lets, see ...

Reading the dragonbook rn, and im sure the authors must've had stocks in FLEX/YACC the way everything is built around it.
