It’s the perfekt time of the year to start reading Hogfather -which, incidentally, is the one that got me hooked some 30 years ago -but beware, they’re highly addictive 😉

Well, it pushed me towards reading more english litterature, so it’s not all bad.
I think it started when I read the translated versions of Douglas Adams’ Hitchhikers books when I was 12 or 13 -and discovered the original in a bookshop some 5 years later. I never looked back 😉

I’ve read a couple of the danish translations. Quite a lot is lost in translation, so I’ll just stick with the originals.

It’s very much TP -and it seeps through quite a lot of his books (but most prominently via Sam Vimes).

I find the Colour of Magic and Interesting Times a little hard to get through, but I love the rest of the wizard books.

Do you mean all DW books with the wizards, or just the first ones? I typically have a hard time getting through The Color of Magic and Interesting times, when re-reading the series, although they do have their moments -but I really like Ridcully and that bunch at UU.
