Denmark failed to stop the sanctioned, stateless shadow vessel Marathon, and now the ship is doing everything it can to avoid The English Channel. Something caused her to change course. I wonder if it was the message below.

Also notice the destination for this one. Claiming it's on its way to Croatia while entering the Baltic Sea. A strong pattern with shadow vessels - entering the Baltic while claiming their destination are EU-countries, but they always end up in the Russian ports.

Falcon also has her anchor hanging out ⚓️
June 3, 2025 at 8:55 AM
The authorities informed me yesterday evening that they had no intention of stopping the vessel as it had Cameroon flag. I informed them that the flag is false according to @lloydslistdaily.bsky.social and that it expired in 2024 according to Equasis. Yet Falcon is continuing its journey.

Shadow tanker 'Jaguar', which Russia defended from Estonian coast guard with an SU-35, has left the Gulf once again and is now anchored almost directly above a telecom cable running between Estonia and Sweden. Noone else nearby according to MT, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's being monitored.

French intelligence ship designed for the collection of signals and communications beyond enemy lines travelling through Danish straits with no AIS. Maybe it's confirmation bias, but the calm Danish straits suddenly feel very hot. What I'm hearing is also that AIS in Baltics is messed up atm.

Shadow tanker Jaguar, the ship which caused the dramatic scenes between NATO-countries Estonia plus Finland vs Russia in the Gulf of Finland, is now being spoofed. I can't help but wonder what makes this specific vessel such a strategically important asset that Russia would scramble fighter jets?

Three of the ships supposedly carrying fraudelent Ro Marine papers are currently on their way through or already in Danish and Finnish waters. Interesting how authorities will react.

Completely speechless. Trumps national security advisor writes about military operations in emojis. In a group chat. This is the most 2025 thing I’ve ever seen

This is wild. Everything in the article - but from a European perspective, the leaders of Europes historically closest ally seemingly calling Europeans “PATHETIC” and wanting Europeans to pay for the US attacks on the houthis is next level.

Three different Svitzer tugs seem to be en route to the site. According to Sky News, there have been reports that a several people abandoned the vessels following the collision. Large SAR operation still seem to be ongoing. Collision happened around 9.50 this morning.

Collision in North Sea seems to be between American-flagged oil tanker Stena Immaculate and Portugese flagged cargo vessel Solong. British media reporting that search and rescue operations are ongoing in the area. Still unclear what the damage is.

Many sanctioned shadow tankers seem to end their days in the Sea of Marmara and the Black Sea. Meanwhile a fleet of mostly in ballast sanctioned tankers are floating outside of Port Said and the Suez Canal in Egypt. They may just be waiting for orders, but some have been there for over a month.

Newly EU-sanctioned tankers from Russian shadow fleet currently travelling through Danish straits carrying upwards of 400.000 tones of oil. Data analysis has earlier shown that aprox. half of sanctioned tankers are taken out of operation. Quite interesting to see where these will end.

For comparison: Another similar vessel in the same area at the same time.

Suspected Shadow Fleet vessel INVICTA appears to be experiencing serious trouble with her rudder as she zigzags through the Baltic Sea.

The ship picked up a pilot at Bornholm a short while ago and is now continuing it's journey through Denmark, laden with oil.

Russian spy ship Yantar now anchored outside of Skagen close to Danish maritime borders. Ship was earlier warned off by British attack submarine for suspicious activities in English Channel. Danish Navy Patrol in close vicinity.
January 24, 2025 at 9:46 AM
After our stories and Danish national media coverage of the shadow fleet intensified over the last week, almost all the ships left Skagens anchorage. Could be a coincidence, but just yesterday several shadow vessels were still anchored there. And still no word from the Danish Maritime Authority.
January 17, 2025 at 11:14 AM
Good idea - I compared it to another vessel carrying Russian oil and the route is basically the same. The default route covers a lot of undersea critical infrastructure.

The ship has now left Skagen. To my knowledge no port state control took place. We've asked the DMA for comments since Monday, but they haven't answered mine and @boelkjaer.bsky.social questions. In Germany, the shadow tanker Eventin is being checked completely. Why didn't the DMA do the same?

Same picture but with the list I have (most of these aren’t sanctioned):

Case in point - my overview of the shadow fleet this moment:
December 25, 2024 at 10:22 PM
Like many other ships in the shadow fleet, Eagle S has been actively using the anchorage in Denmark with no issues - here Danish companies don’t mind servicing vessels transporting Russian oil, even if they fit the shadow fleet pattern. This screenshot is from mid October.
