...my mind is made of moths and matches...

I could not get by without art, books, coffee, song or twisting my fingers up in all the things.

I can get by without AI. So can you!

Most of my friends are some sort of makers. I came here to keep in touch.
Well done!

Is this percentage of DNA you share with various groups?

To clarify: people proclaim they will not repost images that do not contain alt text, so if I don't want it shared I will leave that section blank. Thank you.

I don't know what my problem is, being American, but preferring UK tales, telly, terms and traditions.

Hookland is the best of BlueSky.

I don't think I use alt text correctly, which causes me the tiniest amount of distress. Sorry hard of seeing, peeps.

I like alt text because it allows for many more characters than a post. I sometimes describe what I intend rather than what I see. Also, I leave it out when I don't want to share.

Smithsonian Folkways has an option to sort by geography and about 80 Indian records. You could even join their society and listen online, I think.

I used to get records at the library. In San Jose, I found this banger, which is Armenian, but bear with me:

Those polar bears look very pleased with their meal. I would think humans would pale in comparison to nice, fatty seal meat.

PS I just sent my mom some (non-light-up) miniature Christmas lights for her Christmas Village.

Safe travels in your wobbles (emphasis on safe)!

I am glad you don't need to breathe in the same hemisphere of air than him.

Please note: I am an eighth grade dropout with a college degree. My science may come up short in its measurement.

The doll houses part is particularly disgusting.

That second photo is a keeper, for sure.

I briefly get followed by bots and block them. I briefly get followed by suspected bots and do not respond and they go away on their own.

I do not trust new accounts with little to no content.

Unlike a lot of people, I worked outside the home full time during the pandemic shutdown.

Also, I use my phone as a phone - and as a watch - and for text messages - and once in a great while for directions.

I learned in the 1990s that I can spend far too much time online.

We've also lost most of the Canadian Snowbirds. Trade and tourism suffer. Foreign students have it hard - well, now our own graduate students have it hard, too. Every day something gets worse. It's all such a mess. Dystopian, even.

At least someone is getting a cool plant pot for Christmas.

Yes, it is annoying.

Their aim is to cripple the country so they can sweep in and save* us. That and funneling all the money to the oligarch and get out of jail free if you know a guy. That and acting like an abusive spouse cutting off all visits and contact with others (like you).

Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you've gotten through that and onto something better.

BTW I've got half a song about baggage. I used to read the personals in the weekly news and they all wanted so much, many different things, but almost always NO BAGGAGE.

It's an unrealistic expectation of adults.

I figured, but I always like to check.

For no particular reason, this immediately made me think of Mary Cassatt.

Whoops. I guess France, then.
