This is nonsense - games media would be much better funded if it _was_ the case, but actually it's a tale of dwindling resources and a limited amount of time. It's also largely a response to what audiences actually want now.

There's no way a 20-minute news story is giving value to anyone here, you've gotta spend some time playing these smaller games to find the hook otherwise it's just dumping a trailer and store copy into a couple of paragraphs for the majority of the audience to ignore which is same as not covering
