Freedom isn't free. We've heard that for a long time. Now it's time to see if we're willing to do the work required.

I will be looking into ways to help and protest and protect the rights under fire now and I'll try to share what I learn. I ask that you do the same. If you find organizations or events or reading materials or whatever that are trying to save The Great Experiment, please share!

Please don't let America go down without a fight.

I want to encourage anyone out there who feels the same fear and frustration to not give in to the debilitating helplessness. We can accept how terrible this situation is without giving up. The oligarchy wants us to give up and just let them go about their agenda.

This brings its own frustrations that the only response I'm clever enough to think of is 100% wrong. It also means that I have to figure out how I can actually contribute to moderating the damage being done because -make no mistake- this is as bad as it's ever been (certainly in my lifetime).

I don't know what did it but somehow I was able to step outside the box of my own thought process just enough to realize that's exactly what makes me so angry about them - viewing people I don't agree with or understand as inferior and less than myself and what fits into my view of good and right.

(You probably see where this is going. Congratulations for getting there much quicker than I did.)

I never got violent, but I fantasized about it, and I definitely wallowed in hatred. I felt like the people who supported the claymation villain in office were too evil and stupid to be afforded the same rights as other humans.

The example they give of a trans woman being somehow at an advantage on the parliament short list of women doesn't ring true in today's social environment.
