Globular Springtail!! I absolutely adore springtails, especially the big fat ones haha. I have a moderately sized colony of temperate white springtails living with my armadillidium vulgare colony and seeing them makes me so happy (even though theyre so tiny 😂)

Owl made with black charcoal pencil, with black streaks on the crown, a grey large brow, two eyes with black iris, sharp pointy bill, patches of white on the shoulders and wings. Perched on a Pine tree with moss cover from the Coniferous forests of the higher altitude Himalayan moist temperate forest. Pine leaves in the background. Rarely seen in the Himalayan region, one of the most gorgeous owl, Boreal owl (Aegolius funereus), there are only few observations of them from India. Editors suggested I study works of Simon Calburn from the book by Alan Kemp, “The Owls of Southern Africa”. His illustration took him 11 years. Hoping to be that meticulous and good with this book, too. His studies of owls in various stages are brilliant and inspiring. I also picked up the “Owl of the world” by Rob Hume, illustrated by Trevor Boyer, what beautiful paintings and illustrations. Hope to live up to these standards in my own works.
