Luckily, I’ve used sophisticated Bayesian reasoning (setting my prior really high) to determine that even if we are in the same bubble we are still in the right on this one.

I can’t recall the actual sources on which I based my opinion, but I know there was one NPR radio segment recently on the subject, as well as some US news articles.

The main issue, as I understand it, is future power draw from the projected explosion in data centers. These also use water for cooling but the projections are such that’ll it form a very small fraction of global water usage as it scales. So the water issue is not pressing, given what we know.
