Actually, that's just it! Options! I don't think it's bad if some people want to mostly play on the routes. They offer a different experience with the different vehicles you encounter and their different effects. But that just convinces me more of the need for options.

I don't entirely know what the update entails, exactly - the only time I've played online was yesterday. But the only thing I can think of is that time you picked 50cc as a joke, and just how much worse that would be if it was mostly the routes.
Why not just have options? That feels like a theme...

There were a LOT of new aspects of gameplay and even story we didn't really know about, if that's what you want then you absolutely made the right choice in not watching it.

There is one episode in Kalos where Meowth gets a hold of Pikachu's ball and tries to put him in it multiple times, but he never succeeds (Pikachu, however, did almost catch Meowth in a Luxury Ball).

The oneshots I write are generally the same length as the chapters I write for longer fics, and as such this one lines up in size with the longest chapters I've written at over 6K words.
