Here’s my guess, curious what you think. We see $1.99 and think $1, but if we see $2.00 we think $2. Do we also see $74.99 and $79.99 both as $70, so the game companies leave it at $69.99 for longer so we think of it as $60? As soon as they did the $5 increase to $74.99 would we perceive it as $70?

Hoping for a pure luck run. I can’t care anymore but am having fun when they do win a game, mostly because my 8-year old is having fun with it.

It’s unbelievable. I’ve done a half-marathon in 2 hours and it took everything I had. So they’re going twice as fast as me for twice the distance.

My wife and 8-year old son are going (won tickets in the Ford Fan Deck at a playoff rally). I can take 9 years of disappointing me, but they better not lay an egg for my kid.

I agree with you, but it’s also strange if you think about it, that even a typical PM has only been voted on by people in 1 out of 338 ridings in the country.

Yeah, I think drive thru creates this problem too. They always have more staff for drive thru so inside ordering is slower. Some places have drive thru and mobile ordering lol

I do it a lot at Starbucks. You get to skip the normal line which is often longer, so others have to wait. I maybe don’t see it as that different from a drive thru though? Like they allocate staff knowing that mobile orders and drive thru orders will happen.

Been feeling like trash lately (work stress) and every night I decide I’m too tired to go for a run even though I know I’ll feel better if I do. This post gives me the reminder to try to actually get out tonight.

My main example is Louis CK. He might have been my favourite comedian and definitely was my most-quoted. As soon as the article came out it was a clean break for me but bits of his would pop into my head for years after.

I have a few examples of this where I stopped engaging with the comedy of comedians who it turned out did awful things. I am fully comfortable with this approach but still feel a kind of mourning/sadness because the previous art/comedy had resonated strongly with me.

Aren’t US housing costs lower in the US too? I thought I had seen that Canada’s housing prices basically didn’t collapse in 2008 when US prices did

I tuned out the first half of the season, watched pretty regularly as Matthews chased 70 down the stretch, and now have to see them do the same thing they do every year in the playoffs. Matthews could get 50 in 38 and 93 goals next year and I’m not sure I could muster up the ability to care.
