I think we have too many new players, too many injured players, and are paying the price for resetting the manager every 15-24 months. Our full squad with time to gel has interesting possibilities.

They have given up exactly 5 goals total between the PL and CL combined this season. They’ve lost exactly one game on a remarkable strike back before Liverpool forgot how to play. But I take the point that a loss, even a shutout, can still be a competitive game.

Fair point. Although there are trade-offs across that list. I just think that no matter what we’re stuck with the reality that we’re playing a much better team. And it pains me to admit that.

We’re just massively outclassed. I think Frank and the players are doing what they can, but this could get ugly.

Forward have all been pretty poor. Vid and Micky are about the only bright spots I see. Lucas could inject some life.

This is probably the best take on the state of affairs and next step that I’ve read. Kudos. I was never Ange out, but I sure started to tilt in that direction at times. Bilbao course corrected things.
