The GOP is behind most of the genuine patriotism I have felt in my life, in that it I realize how attached I am to the cosmopolitan, forward-looking land of my birth, how unconsciously proud I am of things such as the moon landing, & increasingly how much I am willing to countenance in it’s defense.

i feel like things are happening that millions of people are clueless about and that are so outrageous, so unbelievable that if i tell anyone, they will think i am being hyperbolic and crazy
