Sure, it would be like the monks who name beer or invented champagne. There's rooms of monks rolling cigarettes like doing illuminated manuscripts. Even a tobacco plantation outside of AC.

I mean, there's lots of examples of churches saying "ok for me, but not thee" throughout history.

I think that only the priests are immune to the ill effects of smoking, but others in AC smoke. I also think the church supplies priests with cigarettes if they want them.
Though, I love the idea of Abelard going to his local bodega and the owner knows what brand he likes.

So I finished DHR. I didn't realize there's more books, so I was a bit surprised.
I think my favorite parts were the scenes with Abelard and Kopil. It really fleshed (haha) both characters out a lot more. Kopil has always been a favorite of mine, especially in this one.

One of my favorite scenes in the whole Craft Sequence. The immortal, mostly all-powerful wizard chilling with his drink.
This is one of the scenes that really made me like Kopil. Yes, he's a magic skeleton, but he still loves his fruity drinks.
