The organizers started chants to antagonize the cops because they wanted us to speed up. The cops waited until everyone was gone to retaliate. I'm not going to criticize poking the pig but it is one more thing to increase your chances of being harassed.

I was there and I don't know for sure that they got permits I guess but we were escorted by police the whole march who were closing off streets as we went so I don't know how that happens without a permit.

I understand the will for a third party but it has only become more unpopular as the largest contender the green party has slowly lost ground over time (in my opinion due to poor leadership). I believe we do need the democratic party at least nationally.

This makes me even more sad actually. It seems like he believes the Democratic party is much more likely to lean into the neo liberal agenda they have failed with over and over. And that seems insurmountable in my lifetime for any sort of actual progress.

I think for Walz it is not about him personally being a good or bad candidate it's that the democratic party will not give him a second chance after being on a losing ticket. They are going to want a fresh start. It is up to organizers to make sure that the fresh start is in the right direction.

None of these people are going to be able to win a national election. Kamala wasted her chance and Walz with it. Nobody likes Newsom and he represents everything Kamala did. Buttigeig and Shapiro are good at talking but fall short on issues proven to be important Gaza and working class people.

I really hope that this place doesn't end up being only being embraced by progressives or liberals. Obviously the Nazi haven that is twitter is insane but there is a lot of value in a moderated forum everybody uses.
