Likely that Aphyr didn't want to comply with the requirements, so just blanket blocked the UK. Can't say I blame them, the act is very flawed.

Never Post does that sort of thing sometimes, maybe not as a specific segment though

I love the idea that someone'd commission that as a CGI, then look at what they produced and *pay for that slop*?? I'd immediately reject it on quality grounds, with the mask not fitting the face properly and the engine apparently being on fire (which is actually a great unintended metaphor tbh)

Oh ha, that's novel you've noted 🙈

Oh damn, "Sorcerer: The Game"! Nice, this'll be straight on my wishlist, love that intensity and unpredictability of that movie. Just had a search, turns out it's an adaptation of a French novel.

I really bloody wish nationalisation was the agenda. Gives the government a great choice at that point - drop prices, or keep them the same but use the money to find improvements, or to cover other tax shortfalls. I will never understand why our critical infrastructure funds foreign pension funds...

Hey, we managed to have a War of the Roses in England once! I would imagine it was somewhat more dreary and malnourished than this though, looks like a lovely day there

Please, please, PLEASE drop it in an ironic turn-to-camera! It'll work so well I promise you, your British audience will wet themselves.

Oh man, SO ANNOYING.

Similar issue with a lot of industrial software, whole groups of buttons or menus may only appear or disappear depending on what device or dongle you've got connected. Makes troubleshooting a nightmare; can't tell if it's a real problem, or the software waiting for something!

Donated, all the best with this fella! They sound like absolute shitcunts, what a crap situation to be in. You deserve every bit of support, as do your neighbours.

It found me, and I love it *so damn much*. Never have I played a game with such a sense of "place", really makes you feel like you're there. Will never forget the first time I crested the hill to see the disassembled giant, or when that big frigate came into dock right above me!

It's interesting seeing what they've adjusted to adapt the format. Hard to get across a lot of the characterisation you would normally get when wandering around for hours in-game, those little barks and interactions.

Not as recent as requested, but Peter F Hamilton's "Commonwealth Saga" (Pandora's Star & Judas Unchained) and the standalone "Great North Road" I've recently re-read, and both are still excellent.
