I've seen that too where people who used to go quietly stopped coming. It's like I mentioned the other day where I cherish all the times we had, but today in the same space it isn't the same anymore.

Well, then I'll find my own space, not here, and move on. I had my time there and now that's over. I've been attending other more local events and doing trips and friends, and I'll think I'll stick with that. Cons hurt me too much and they are financially unappealing now. I have better things to do.

The one space I thought I was seen in fact gave this nonsensical announcement about inclusion, but then they invited only muscle bears. That was the only thing for me to meet people and you denied me. I wasn't even there for hookups. I was there for a genuine connection. You said nah, ignore.

Yes we were crazy when we were younger, but not like some of these folks today. It is like a glorified Grindr event, but more selective. If you don't fit this specific mold, you are unseen, and a LOT of people want to just find a connection, which in turn leads to disappointment. I've seen it.

Therefore, given my past couple of years and the current state, I would rather visit or plan trips outside of cons rather than we go to one. In fact, every summer now, I go to SC for a BBQ with friends. It's one of the greatest things of my life. So if you feel stressed, don't go.

I know some people are terrified of large groups and now they are conflicted on going because they don't want to disappoint their friends. I hate that for them. Now they are forced to do something that they don't want to do.

I went through some pretty traumatic things last year FWA and this year my peeps had some pretty huge frustrations that broke them mentally. I cannot put into words these feelings, but it pretty much set the pace for the entire con.

It happens here quite a bit in the fall and winter here. It's that time of the year too.

All done with this. 30 pages on payment systems. I hope that this can be graded quickly, and I don't have to worry about anything. Now I have to study for a final exam I have to take tomorrow, and another lengthy writing piece I have to complete for this same class, which I just wrote for...
