well gotta start somewhere i guess
day 185: just a bit of a dump of practice. sunday i did some 3d form and today was ribbons. the ribbons have been fun to play around with trying to understand them a bit more. gonna take a couple sessions with these to help out my hair drawing and planning :)

day 184: finally finished with the first finished piece of 2026! despite not knowing anything about backgrounds im pretty happy how this one came out. but god backgrounds suck LMAO. cinderella gray made me really love white lightning

day 182: more progress on this piece. decided to do tamano cross it felt fitting for her character. parts im really happy with and others are just confusing. but this is definitely one of the hardest drawings ive done so far.

one of the biggest shifts in my mental for drawing has definitely been going from thinking im not nearly as good as other artists to looking at others art and thinking "how did they do this, why did this work and how do i replicate it in my own art?"

day 175: starting on hands again and hands got hands. hands bout to catch these hands soon. but heres moreso just the practicing ive done since getting home for christmas rather than just one day.

day 174: finally finished this one. still not sure what im doing with shading and theres some things i want to work on and get better with, but also pretty damn happy with this one. gotta start using a scrap piece of paper so i dont smudge the hell out of what im working on though

day 168: got a couple more figures down. may look boring but seeing progress on this has been super rewarding. one issue im running into is how the knee connects the two parts of the leg so gonna need to study up on how that works. that and shoulders in general

day 167: not much today (cause i wanna play bf6 lmao) but did try a bit more stylized figure and it actually came out well. really enjoying doing these cause it feels like im getting better and better each time. christmas break cant come soon enough

day 166: some late night drawings. think these look good but also im not sure if theres anything im missing or doing wrong or not? think i need to do some actual anatomy but i have not a clue where to start. its been troubling with the torso but im feeling more comfortable with the proportions

day 165: started at work with watching a vid ive seen before on gesture and he mentioned letting your pencil figure out the drawing and making more marks and after hearing that a few times it finally clicked what he meant by it. really damn happy with how these turned out and kept getting better

day 164: wasnt planning on doing anything today but had the urge to do something atleast and this actually looks decent. was starting to put in some muscles too but got pulled away early. think the pose could be a bit more dynamic from the reference tho too
