City needs to become more responsive. I think it was best summed up in this piece a few years ago about NYC but applies here. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

Actually this looks like it went to Neighborhood inspection which is part of CPD they usually are looking at different things may not be the ROW rules and regs

yeah I think this is where rules are not equal to what the inspectors do. I don't know of anything that specifically allows this. But most of my 311 requests receive similar responses.

These rules should apply to any permit: www.denvergov.org/files/assets...

My understanding is the detour program requires detours for any bike or pedestrian route for projects permitted after 2022.

But would be good to be more explicit you’re right I’ll sync with detour program team and get a better understanding of what’s there today and where gaps are.

That’s an interesting idea. I think tbh the rules may not be the problem at the moment. We keep running into the rules exist in some form but there is no enforcement. But they maybe should be better defined for inspectors.

Oh no. Hopefully that will change, Johnston is appointing a boards and commission director who hopefully can help connect us better but TBD.

Thanks this is good to know about. I’m deeply frustrated with the current “resolutions”

Sorry don’t login super consistently here yet. I think it’s a flawed and imperfect. But yes today that’s our main method on DOTI PRAB may be different.
