I really thought you were exaggerating until I looked it up. Closest for me would be Ford Fairlane which is widely reviled but I thought was funny when I was 13.

I'm from CT and before they had Hollywood movies made about them the Warrens were just local kooks who would charge $10 at our community theaters to talk about Amityville. Pretty amusing to see what James Wan and company has made them into now.

I used to go to a therapist and after 10 minutes at the beginning of each session that was basically "Who are you again?" we would talk about old movies for the last 40 minutes.

The truth is there’s a contingent of the Democratic party that finds racism understandable and reasonable if gauche to flaunt. It’s not a difference of opinion to them just a lack of manners.

If you're a person who goes to the movie theater regularly and you've gotten into a habit of going alone you should make an effort to invite people to go with you. In general people don't spend enough time in person together anymore.
