28. Lover of games (Sonic, Metroid, Tales) and animanga (FMA, Oregairu, MHA). Just an all around nerd.
The leads have fantastic chemistry and the story, while I kinda knew what to expect, was thrilling and engaging the whole way. Now I will definitely have to check out the source material to see how this whole thing really started. Great movie!

I seriously don't understand, considering this is still pretty much a straight adaptation of the material it chooses to focus on, some stuff isn't going to make sense for anime-onlys. This was such a peak adaptation until now. Now it's peak, with a very large asterisk.

Thank you, Horikoshi Kohei and for one last time.

GO BEYOND! PLUS ULTRA!

Finally started sinking my teeth into Marvel Rivals. I played it a bit when it came out, but I was waiting... Waiting for one specific character to make her debut in the game. And I have to say.

I am in love.

It's got a lot of problems and ultimately is probably my least favorite of the numbered Prime titles, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm just happy it exists. And who knows, maybe a Prime 5 could happen? Ah, one can only dream.

It's been a long wait but it's finally time.

The series is at it's best when Momo and Okarun are the focus and thankfully that is the majority of what's going on, but those low points can stick out like a sore thumb.

And I think that's the real hook of the show. Makes the romance and everything around it shine that much brighter. Definitely wanna see a third season of this!

Finally. I will play Marvel Rivals again....

It's not something that breaks the dynamics, but it does dumb some things down and can feel like you're being spoon-fed at points. Other than that though, this was wonderfully solid adaptation and I'm curious to see how they will adapt things to come.

Can finally use this meme. And it's true too!

Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc - Very good! I'm more of a casual CSM fan but I found this to be a much more fulfilling adaptation of Fujimotos' work than the first season of the anime. Plus Reze was one of my favorite characters from the manga and she was done real well here.

Which could be kinda cool but it comes across as nothing but mindless fanservice for the sake of it. Leading to very minimal engagement and a runtime that never seems to end.

They're always backed by strong character writing, development, emotion and servicing the grander themes of the story or an arc in particular. When Stampede is basically just fighting to have a cool fight scene, it rings hollow and doesn't particularly feel like One Piece to me.

One Piece Film: Gold - I actually quite liked this one. It's a little long and makes absolutely no sense regarding the timeline, but it's a non-canon movie so I can get past that. Thoroughly entertaining, a fun and creative concept that feels decently in line with the spirt of One Piece.
October 13, 2025 at 12:04 AM
One Piece Film: Z - This movie was boring as hell. The most bare minimum story that adds absolutely nothing to the story, canon or not.
October 11, 2025 at 1:24 AM
One Piece: Strong World - Good movie! Definitely feels like it came right out of the series, helps that Oda himself wrote this. So it's got all the fun, wackiness and emotion that you'd expect from One Piece.

Samus on a motorcycle is hot as fuck. That is all.

Akira - What in the hell did I just watch. I liked it a lot, but if I tried to explain it I'd be waving my arms around like a madman for 2 hours. It's a beautiful movie visually, I can absolutely see why it is so beloved. Definitely need to watch this again at some point.

KPop Demon Hunters: Very enjoyable! Definitely feels underdeveloped and surface level but having been told about the problems leading to release, does make that understandable. The music is the highlight and where the best character stuff happens, which for a movie like this, is how it should be.

And that's what leaves me conflicted. As a game Berseria fundamentally fails. It's not fun, plain and simple, but from beginning to end I was engaged. That's why, no matter what, I can't call it bad.

Delicious in Dungeon (Season 1) - Fun show! I love the mechanics of the dungeon and the inner workings of everything surrounding it. Characters are quite fun and the show can really go for it when it wants to. And overall, it's just super enjoyable. Very excited for season 2 when it comes out!

Plus the final issue does tease a continuation of this crossover, which I hope comes to be. I'd love to see this continue.
