This piece was done interning with National Tropical Botanical Garden in collaboration with Tim Flynn and Amanda Vernon, to be used a cover for a field guide for common mosses found around the main Hawaiian islands. Super fun project and subject :)

also have no idea if i’ll have that as the background color, i’ve never had to do a wash that big so maybe ill just keep it white 💀

i really tried to find anything on what was going on with that tail thingy. the guess im sticking to is that it helps the squid resemble some type of siphonophore (i am biased)
