#Carbon_market isn’t just a #greenwashing, it is another way of colonization. #African leaders should see that #carbon trading isn’t climate finance. We have terrible accountability issues in the continent and carbon market will not help it vulnerabilities.

#Cop28 is going to be a turning point for Africa if their leaders will bring real climate issues that bothers it people to the table, demand implementation of loss and damages finance agreements and many other Climate finance agreements yet to be implemented.

Financing #climatechange involves a lot of efforts and initiatives especially in getting loss and damages off global south’s most vulnerable areas. however, Carbon market isn’t one of those initiatives as it gives more power to the elites to keep emissions higher.
