I fully agree. Also, when I was blogging, I’d post often. But with newsletters, I keep second-guessing myself for precisely that reason. I have to ask myself if a particular piece of writing is worth adding to people’s inboxes, etc. I went on newsletter hiatus in part because I can’t figure it out.

I’m glad you loved it too! It went deep enough and was charming enough that I really forgot my stress about the American dumpster fire for a few minutes. I’m thinking of becoming a paid subscriber.

This ongoing conversation feels like a good reason to integrate habits we should have *anyway*. Like, there’s climate stuff wrapped up in this, etc. I know I personally got lazy, especially trying to budget for food for a houseful of kids. But this situation gives me motivation to reevaluate.

Part of the problem is that you may very well regret ending up $60,000 in debt with an unfinished degree or the inability to find a job. This would be much less of an issue if the US had free or low-cost higher education.
