Grigoratos et al. developed statistical methods to combine & standardize earthquake data from different sources.

They successfully applied it to 5500 events of magnitude 3 and above around the Dead Sea Transform Fault Zone between 1900 and 2017:

Bouchon et al. reveal that foreshock activity of the 2014 M8.1 Chilean earthquake synchronized with seismic events occurring approximately 100 km down the slab, linking deep slab processes to both shallower foreshocks and the megathrust event.

Schippkus et al. show that, because they are correlated in time, ocean microseisms induce repeating waves in correlations of ambient seismic noise.

This could have significant implications for seismic monitoring based on relative velocity changes.

Using cutting-edge seismological techniques, Trugman et al. characterize the 2014-18 Sheldon earthquake swarm in Nevada, one of the most active seismic sequences ever recorded in the western US.
