M- Good for you for going back and reworking that first book. I think sometimes the seed is there, but you weren't quite ready to write it yet. I have some stories like that. T- Keeping track of details in a series has to be so challenging!

That is definitely a lesson I learned from my first books! I spent sooooooo much time completely rewriting things. By the time I was done I'd probably written 4 books worth of mess, lol. I definitely take more time plotting now.

Best of luck in the trenches- I know that's tough. And I love romantasy, one of my top comfort-read genres!

This is so vivid and strong!

So much easier! I'm an elementary teacher. I love it, but I get hit hard with decision fatigue and just all-around tiredness at the end of a school day, which makes creating much more difficult. During the summer, I'm much better able to lock in on a project.

I think nothing. Even though my first books never made it to publication, I learned so much from writing them and they're an important of my writing journey. I'm grateful for what they taught me, mistakes and all, and I'll always love my poor rejected little babies. #momswritersclub

It's still Roll for Initiative - I just love my girls and Devin so much, but my new project's getting there! I'm hoping for a tie soon! :)

T-Love how the little "error" turned into a cool plot point! M-That's a pretty tricksy key! 😆

Love the research that went into solving it!

I read a book the other day where in one scene there was like no food left in the cupboards, but then they turn around a little bit later and start packing up all this food for a trip. BUT I still loved the book and the author is a favorite of mine, so I'm just going to pretend I didn't notice lol

I like the idea of a "cheat sheet!" And I'll have to chec out One Stop

Uhhhh . . . Sometimes I scribble stuff down in a notebook?
I probably could use a system. . . lol. Definitely gonna read these replies closely!
