In loving memory of Curro (2010-2025) and Cole (2021-2025).
It should not come as a surprise that Lutnick, a man who knows or understands almost nothing, is making this up - because he has no idea about how anything in the global energy market works.

The European Union produced 8% of the global Li-ion battery production capacity in 2023.
Lutnick on the EU while in Brussels: "Another example -they rule out diesel gas and you gotta have batteries here by 2035. But Europe doesn't make batteries! Only certain countries make batteries and Europe is not one of them. They gotta think better about themselves ... come on! Think correctly."

After last week's GenZ march in Mexico City disintegrated into violent clashes with law enforcement, today's GenZ march at the campus of the UNAM was notably more peaceful, likely due to the fact that not a single person showed up. www.eluniversal.com.mx/nacion/convo...

Larry Summers is one of the people who directly caused the 2008-2009 Great Recession that destroyed millions of lives, but it's only after he was outed as an Epstein buddy that he feels 'shame'.

What a despicable man.

The drones, flying over random and not so random locations in Europe, the sabotage - all of it is a sign Putin is becoming more desperate by the day. Russia may not be losing, but it certainly isn't winning - which to Putin is tantamount to losing.

Harrowing report on Mexican drug addicts, rehab and their past lives, often intertwined with organized crime. Mexico is spending less on drug rehab even as the number of adddicts increased exponentially the past decade. - vía @eluniversalmx.bsky.social www.eluniversal.com.mx/grafico/peri...

I have lived in Mexico for two decades. In that time president Calderón announced a Michoacán plan, Peña Nieto did the same, followed by AMLO.

None of those plans made Michoacán safer, so I'm skeptical about the latest iteration announced by the current administration.

A friend asked me recently why I eliminated my Facebook, Instagram and Threads accounts and why I barely post on other social media anymore.

The answer is simple: the only way to win against the algorithms is by not playing at all.

La gran mentira de la Cuarta Transformación es que en realidad no transforma nada. Al contrario, está diseñada para mantener el modelo neoliberal que utilizó para construir una hegemonía del poder.

My partner and I just watched 'Frankenstein' and I think we can safely say that Guillermo del Toro is incapable of making a bad film even if he tried.

The election of Mamdani shows every single person running for office in the world what voters universally care about: cost of living. Doesn't matter if you're in the U.S., Mexico, the Netherlands or Indonesia. People want to be able to make rent and buy groceries. Learn from it.

Yearly reminder to all non-Mexicans that the 'Day of the Dead' is 'Día de Muertos' in Spanish, not 'Día de los Muertos'.

Why does it matter? Tell a Mexican you love 'Día de los Muertos' and watch their facial expression, then you'll understand.

My country's head of state is an actual hereditary monarch and he would not be allowed to just demolish a wing of his the palace he lives in.
JUST IN: The ENTIRE East Wing of the White House has officially been DEMOLISHED, per AP.

I don't know how to explain this to some people, but a person who orders the extrajudicial executions of dozens of people by seemingly randomly blowing up boats in the Caribbean DOES NOT DESERVE SOMETHING CALLED 'PEACE' PRIZE.
