Gov-Elect Spanberger wants the University of Virginia to pause its search for a president until she can appoint the rest of the board. Democrats in the Virginia Senate didn't confirm a number of Governor Glenn Youngkin's nominees. And the new Prez would replace Jim Ryan, who Trump admin pushed out.

"We saw a little wave, but we didn't see this doggone tsunami," Speaker of the HoD Don Scott said this morning.

Looks like the special masters that drew the political maps might've seen something like it coming.

My back of the envelope math of this piece’s numbers (based on an ICE FOIA) says there were fewer than 1900 arrests related to someone with a criminal status. Compare that to Gov Youngkin’s July claim it was 2500 *violent* criminals

I am at a rally for Virginia's Republicans running for statewide office. Most of the people I talked to in the audience talked about schools, and when Gov. Glenn Youngkin starts out, he talks about schools teaching students what to think vs how to think.

The Washington Post is reporting an OMB memo says all federal and grant will be paused.

There doesn’t seem to be details on what is or isn’t affected but here are some figures from Virginia’s auditor.

So sounds like there could be a few investigating bodies on this. Avula said they’d bring in a third party to investigate. I wonder if they will be complete before June primaries, when former Mayor Stoney is on the ballot for Lt Gov
