they spend most of their lives in desert oases, and maintain a diet of fish, algae and lilypads.
A small, semi-aquatic odd-toed ungulate with big hooves, a thick tail, a sloping profile with eyes below its nose and a prehensile nasal trunk. Atop its head, two horns have twisted into one. The crested mane provides cover for the hollow dome between its horns. It has a dark brown coat with black points, and strong countershading. It is illustrated here in both profile and full view.
