Mining is going strong in BC, and it's my job to make sure government does what we can to ensure it continues to grow.

And I had the pleasure of touring the Highland Valley Copper mine, Canada's largest copper mine. The mine provides nearly 1200 union jobs for British Columbians.

It was wonderful meeting with Jason Jacob, President of the East Kootenay Chamber of Mines. The EKCM does great work advocating for the exploration sector. Explorers in B.C. are vital to finding, mapping and planning the mines of the future to create good jobs. #BCMining

On Friday, I met with leaders in BC's mining & mineral exploration sector, including Skeena Gold & Silver, the Association for Mineral Exploration, and Elk Valley Resources. Mining is foundational to BC’s economy & our government is committed to growing this vital industry.
