This would be the day in the 1960s and ‘70s when Daddy would take us to shop for Mom’s Christmas presents at Sears. He surreptitiously ordered our presents, too, and went back and picked them up later. It was not Black Friday; it was just the day after Thanksgiving. Then lunch was at McDonald’s.
