Good thing he is delaying tariffs by 1 month. That should give manufacturers plenty of time to raise capital, buy robots, train the robots, retrain a portion of their staff to maintain the robots, and fire everyone else. #sarcasmfont

Thank you @pkrugman.bsky.social for covering the relative size of proposed-tariffs vs proposed-tax cuts. I've long thought that Trump's affinity with tariffs are to help justify/offset the cost of his tax cuts, thereby transferring the tax burden to lower income citizens.
