It’s actually good homework for me. I’ve worked with my therapist for a long time and it’s a way to help get it started since I my auto reaction to big changes and stress is to close up which leads to more anxiety from not processing. I get stuck in letting tears flow so this is a safe way to start

I never felt I fit in with my family, always felt less boricua. Not Puerto Rican enough for her and the rest of my family. I was a shy and lost child, that still at the age of 43 I’m struggling with my Puerto Rican identity. I have many reasons for estrangement, anger and grief.
