Probably Metaphor Re:Fantazio for $23 from Woot (thanks to Deku Deals). They actually sent me a copy with a chipped box and when I asked them to replace it they let me keep the original copy, so I got two $70 games for $23.

Alternatively, the other way it's meant to be played: not

For me the issue isn't if a game is mainstream, but it's just a matter of how the good design is used. Is it used to enrich the play experience or is it used to funnel you into microtransactions and addictive gameplay loops? These may still be well designed games, but it ruins the experience for me.

What's the program that made this?

Not to mention that a large portion of workplaces don't give you an option as to which computer or os you use.

100% agree with this. Working a tech job in a non tech field has made the distinction very clear lol

They can be Intel, AMD, or Qualcomm but it's still a Microsoft device if they're the one manufacturing it for me. Like how my phone is a Samsung even though it runs a Qualcomm chip and not an Exynos. Nobody really makes their own chips but Google, Samsung, and Apple if I'm not mistaken.

Microsoft surface laptops are what my school uses, which aren't the most common but are straight from Microsoft

Not saying Windows isn't a piece of junk, I've certainly had my issues, I just don't think the majority of users run into issues with it. Techy people tend to forget >90% of people just use their computer to write emails and use Google docs.

Exception is OneDrive though. Everyone hates OneDrive.

Certain people definitely do have very bad luck with these things, but as a computer science teacher I see a lot of students with windows machines on a daily basis and they rarely have issues. I have heard tales that HP specifically is a finicky brand though, ironically my wife's HP was similar.

I get what you're saying, but in my experience Windows works 'bug free' for most people, whereas *almost* every Linux install I've tried to work with has had some stupid hardware/software bug to sort out. Agree with your general sentiment but just feel like it might not represent average experiences

I love that they went with the designs from the game you can't play anymore instead of the designs from the game coming out this year. Great ideas.

Yeah not inherently, it's just a pattern of behavior from Nintendo that they overprice their goods so I don't have much sympathy for them
August 4, 2025 at 4:44 PM
Tbf even if they wouldn't have upped prices I'm sure they'd still be making a profit. I'm sure Nintendo isn't upset by making the OG switch look like a worse value proposition when compared to switch 2

Unfortunate there's no physical Xbox release

These look great, but I'm wondering if some players may have trouble understanding it as a teleporter, or maybe confusing it with the bounce-pads from the Steam post you linked since they look similar. Maybe a beam of light shining out that makes them stand out more could help?
