Met my sister for the first time over the phone today. I've been looking for her my entire life. Using a DNA kit her kids found us and gave us her number. I was so nervous to call!! But I did, and it was great! I missed her despite never knowing her.

I jumped online for 5 mins and decided that was enough doomscrolling for me. It's a good day to read some fiction, make some art and enjoy meditative silence. The world is so loud right now. I may not be able to stop any wars outside but I can stop it from getting to me inside, atleast for now.
