I can't say enough good things about, A Girl Called Gale by Marcus Kahle McCann. It hits so many points people feel in their bones about finding their place in this world and helping others.

See my pinned post for the link. It deserves more attention, repost and share this.

Harvested raisins and figs today. Not bad for 2 grape vines and 1 fig tree all only 3-4 years old.

Found this little western banded gecko under a brick. I couldn't leave it in place because it would have been dangerous, so I made a new little home for it 20 feet away. It wouldn't leave my hand until its new rock house was in the right place.

Sourdough Saturday turned into sourdough Sunday. I wanted to see the difference between convection vs Dutch Oven. The top loaf cooked 10 minutes faster in the convection, vs the Dutch oven on the bottom loaf.

Got to watch the lunar eclipse tonight. Pictures really don't do it justice.

My wife got clam chowder at the store the other day, so I made homemade bread bowls last sourdough saturday to go with it. Finally had a night at home to eat it. So good.

It was sourdough Saturday. I liked how this one turned out.

19 Trader Joe's eggs are still very active right before I put them on lockdown. I put a camera into the incubator with the eggs. So we can monitor the progress, without disturbing them and maybe get a cool video to share.

Yeah they sell them as fertile eggs. They have been washed and refrigerated. Just make sure that you set them on the counter for a day (I did 12 hours) to let them slowly come up to temperature. Also make sure they are completely dry before you put them in the incubator.

Day 16 of my trader Joe's Fertile eggs. 19 of 24 will go into lockdown tomorrow had movement today. You can see it's legs moving in there.

I wanted to post a fertilized egg update. None of the 12 eggs I incubated ended up being fertilized. There was no development after 5 days so I cracked them open. None had blastodisc only blastoderm. My trader Joe's eggs are developing well and should hatch next week.

It amazes me when a post goes viral while most comments were kind, people I don't know came out calling me stupid, retarded, and literally telling me to commit suicide. All over a post about incubating eggs that I doubt will hatch, but there's a small small possibility.

Alright y'all I might be crazy. So Costco was selling whatever eggs they could get. Blue, green, brown, light brown, and white. I'm cracking open some for breakfast this morning. And I noticed two of the green ones have that little bullseye white spot on them. Might be fertile.

Here are pictures of a fertile(with veins) and infertile egg (yellow egg)

Here is day 8 of egg #14 incubation of the Trader Joe's fertile eggs.

My wife and I think it's probably a rooster. 🐣#Chickens

I candled all the eggs on day 6 of trader Joe's eggs. 19 out of 24 eggs are definitely growing. I have a couple maybes but they don't look promising. Here is one that had some very clear veins. A few of them I could see the fetus moving but could get a clear video.

My Eggs-periment seems to be working. Today is day 4 in the incubator which is really the earliest you can candle an egg and see anything. I only checked a couple eggs but I am seeing signs that my trader Joe's Fertile eggs are developing 🎆

I circled few veins in this egg.
