makes sense to me that an arcade 1st company had this approach to hardware.

its like a sandbox, where you can experiment with its architecture to achieve your game design goals

it was $159?
the next gen competition that was on sale in the US market was 3DO at $499 and Jaguar at $249.

i think Virtua Racing Deluxe is better than anything the competition had on sale too.

genuine question, are you mixing your years up, or do you just not know this stuff?

they did try make a pitch to their customers, which back then were the big box retailers.
there’s some old trade magazines where they try to glaze the platform.

i for one think 32X was a sincere attempt at what normies call a “pro-consumer” product. & they had less to be ashamed of than Virtual Boy

FIRSTLY, incredible update for the speed gains, thank you and you friend so much.

question, is there a way to engage this option or is it sort of vestigial?

also trying to use the OPL app as a quick way of navigating the games library, but it can’t seem to detect the games on the 2tb SSD

don’t worry about the solder on the power port. by all means reflow and fill it in the additional ground for stability, but i think the most likely culprit is the voltage regulator on that particular revision

they lost that by the time Kinect became the focus of the 360

and they sold them 2 years earlier for the Saturn.

crazy that someone got it completely right in the mid 90’s and every other publisher has refused to copy the homework even to the present day

no. sega were cranking out bangers, pushing the limits of what gaming could be and deserved better than they got.

Xbox is currently on its Atari arc. where they’d outlived their glory and went into a long slow tailspin with not a soul to care
