Write to Congress, now. By tearing down the East Wing, the President has committed us to finishing the ballroom when he runs out of money. The cost has already gone Fromm $200m to $250m and it’s just begun. He knows we won’t leave the WH partially built. He doesn’t own the WH, we do.

I listened to Scalise remind us we solve our political differences at the ballot box, and wondered if the shooter felt that this administration was making that impossible with redistricting and other changes meant to weaken any opposition. I don’t support violence, but maybe this was a factor.
