Fact 4) The canal is mostly operated by Panamanians. Only 0.1% of the canal’s staff is not Panamanian, and the nationalities include Colombians, Venezuelans, and Americans. China is NOT involved with the operations of the canal. He is lying to further his imperialist agenda.

Fact 3) The canal wasn’t just “given” to Panamanians. There were many years of on going tension, discussions, and efforts from both parties to reach a desirable agreement.

Fact 2) Around 65-70% of the canal’s revenue comes from additional locks and the canal’s expansion that was built by Panamanians in the last 20 years. The US had no involvement with the canal’s expansion. It wouldn’t make sense for the US to take this revenue.

It is not. A couple of facts: Fact 1) Trump claims 38,000 Americans died in the canal, which is FALSE. Only around 350 died. The rest were from France, Barbados, Jamaica, and Spain, and a lot of these deaths were before the US took over for the construction.
