My opinion is that "soy milk" is fine. I'm pretty sure the word for it in both Chinese and Japanese uses the "milk" character. And according to Wikipedia, it was first described in English in an 1899 USDA report appendix where it was compared to milk not only visually, but by composition.

Madison is a pretty fun city
A large crowd of bicyclists on State Street in Madison, Wisconsin. Nearly all are dressed in Santa outfits, or other similarly festive attire. They fill the full width of the street, essentially all the way to the horizon. Some pedestrians watch from the sidewalk, generally happy and amused by the sight. A golden retriever sitting comfortably in the bucket of a cargo bike. The dog is wearing a Christmas sweater, colorful goggles, and decorative reindeer antlers. Many other bicycles and bicycle riders are pictured, loitering on a green artificial turf pitch, and the riders are mostly dressed in Santa outfits or other festive attire. A large crowd of people inside the Madison, Wisconsin capitol building, at an event called "Tuba Christmas". In the forefront of the picture is a large crowd of tuba and baritone players, of all ages and genders, preparing to play a public concert of Christmas carols. In the background to the left is the top half of a large Christmas tree, decorated with ornaments and lights. In the remainder of the background is a large crowd of people gathered to watch the event, filling all the available floorspace, as well as all the balconies and staircases. The capitol rotunda has several arches and murals, a large central dome, and walls constructed with a mixture of marble, granite, and limestone. The most prominently colorful are green marble columns and pilasters topped with rose marble friezes.
