5/27/2025 - #8: Sonic Advance

Had a lot of fun with this one. No widescreen kinda sucks but controls were smooth, levels are full of character and tight platforming (reminded me of Heroes, just w/o the trio aspect), and the special stages have depth perception issues 😂

Can't wait to play 2 & 3

This game's so goofy but I love it! A very heartwarming story about growing up. Also, very solid movement; had loads of fun with shield-jumping (Also, respect to all the speedrun tools, v nice). Highly recommend this title. Also, Avery is literally me, I love them omg

5/14/2025 - #6: Resident Evil 2 (2019)

Ngl, not a big fan of horror, but this is a damn good game. Did Leon A - Claire B for my run, and it was so good and intense. Puzzles are superb and that true ending was really sweet. Twas my first Resident Evil too, & I'm glad it was this. Might replay, idk

Got this for Christmas, and finally beat it (tho I'll come back for 100%)! This is such a charming game. I adore its art style, and the level design is SO GOODD (highlight was that swinging from curtains level, 4-5, ngl). Bring this back, Nintendo, PLEASEE

2/24/2025 - #4: A Short Hike

While working on other games, took a break to play this one. Probably one of the most relaxing games I ever played. Running around, meeting people, finding treasures and gorgeous sights; doesn't take long to beat and that's to its benefit. <33 (Ending was really sweet)

An excellent story, with some good dialogue choices to help replays feel fresh. Was recommended this by my sister, and I am not disappointed. Such a good setting. I felt so anxious playing through this, omg, but that's good storywriting lol

1/21/2025 - #2: The Plucky Squire

Started last year, finally finished it. This is so charming and joyful. The art style definitely sells it, but even the gameplay was creative, esp with the 2D & 3D world hopping! The story's a good motivator for young artists; do what you love and keep at it. c:

1/1/25 - #1: Balatro

While this entry is for my 7th run, the Mad World challenge, I just want an excuse to talk about it. I love this game so much; a necessary distraction. I love the potentials the Joker cards can make, even if I only go for specific hand types lol.

Play Balatro, it's worth it.
