program crashing didn't stop config push. like. really? i know plenty of places i could write that bug too but if you're CloudFlare you should know better than to put everything in a single process with no automated fault recovery. idk.

1. probably not lol, i did not know it existed
2. you mean source build r-a? i can do that hehe

1. probably enough to be a benchmark but goto def, goto refs especially are slow even on startup with few open buffers
2. haven’t tried this yet, no. i only look at buck2 sources maybe once a week. we’re using it in possibly the largest deployment outside fb, but most of our problems aren’t in core.

m4 max 128gb, lol. not much that’s very much faster on any platform.

or a bazel or even just reclient or siso with a ninja based build system. or a hacky git hook for per branch artifacts. multiple strategies.

r-a performance on buck2, especially if you enable inlay hints, is utterly abysmal even on top of the line hardware. i use ctags on that codebase regularly because of it

that's not what this is, though this is awful! this is just a computer change that means that they're not accepting "x" on the computer, but according to official guidance, carriers will not be penalized for putting m/f for those with documents with x on them.

I loved everybit of this interview and the followup. Everywhere where the potential for girls kissing is yuri. The place yearns for girls kissing and thus replicates the girls yearning to kiss, the yuri of absence is filled with the yuri of yearning.

this was an awesome read, but i misread the title and was thinking about how one could draw up various cultural and practices based advances in the state of the art of software deployment and stability over the last 30 years, which would also rock as a post

it was basically debate club for children. i hated it so much. i took real humanities classes and they weren't like this. dimwitted right wingers aren't shut down properly in the eng ones because the profs, i think, aren't allowed to be so quick witted or force them to actually think.

i took a mandatory engineering and society class and believe me i do not think it taught a single person ethics or engineering and society or convinced anyone to take their job more seriously.
