I think it's totally valid to ignore even canon parts if you don't like it. It doesn't quite have to be all or nothing. Write him pre-RE6, or post but diverged. And if you can't, then thinking he's ass on the whole, and you wouldn't touch him as a deep character with a 10 ft pole now is valid too.

That is such an interesting but strange observation. I had just been thinking to take some vacation days to try writing. It sounds like maybe that would be counterproductive? Haha.

Her writing style reads consistently across different works, incuding the RE1-post cannon fic she is working on.
If it was a copy, she'd hardly go comment on your storyboard.
It's hard to see a friend be discouraged and put into a negative spiral so quickly from an excited high in the fandom space.

I introduced her to your fic (as well as your older works on ffnet), said it was one of the most interesting trope setup for the pair. Reading it took her on a writing spree.

It's wayyy inappropriate to pester or shame an author over their posting schedule. Really the reader has to self-regulate.
Unless someone commissions something with a set delivery date, no one has standing to demand anything.

Hmm, I think as much as I try not to, patterns are a thing. So when someone who posts regularly stops, I get sad because there was some expectation. (or excited if someone who doesn't post regularly updates). But then whatever their new posting schedule is (if any) becomes the new norm.

I would like to see them absolve jin for the drastic cruelties he perpetrated to survive.

Thank goodness! I was a little sad the ending was quite abrupt and was hoping for more happy domestic bliss after the final battle. Super looking forward to it!!
