Sometimes when I get bored at work I pop over to TinkerCAD to design (potentially) useful things to print. I'm only at the level of basic shapes user though, so it's just stuff like this (a stand for my kid's wobble board and stand for devices) but find it oddly fun.

Strange and very calm visitors to my porch this morning. White turkeys that I one of my neighbors bought for some reason and then just let wander around, like they have with ducks, chickens, and goddamn guinea fowl (they're loud and obnoxious). I like these birds though. They're pretty and friendly.

It made me laugh.

This is Simon, who insists on either sleeping in my spot on the sofa as soon as I'm not there or just climbing on my lap to do it. He doesn't do it with anyone else in the house, but is absurdly stubborn about it with me. He's an old bugger (15, maybe?) and gets cranky about it too. #cats

It's an incredibly simple design I made in Tinkercad and I should have made the slots a bit wider, but it works. It holds my laptop and Steam Deck, along with a couple tablets so they won't flop over when tucked away. Not the cleanest print, but I'd say the wood filament worked out here. #3Dprinting

I made very serviceable Chicken Teriyaki tonight, a dish I've found is terrible in every restaurant except the one tiny hole in the wall Japanese restaurant in town (where it's amazing) called Yama's. This turned out very well, even if it's not quite like Yama's. #cooking

In other news, I have unwittingly learned the Weeny Washer is in fact a product that one can buy and, presumably, use. So, ah, yea.

And here's one I probably got at E3, promoting the infamous Superman game for the N64 (and Game Boy)!

Another one that brings back fond memories of my gaming journalist days, the official shirt for Black Isle Studios, Interplay's brilliant and iconic RPG division.

This T-shirt came in the box for Pygnosis' Shadow of the Beast II game on the Amiga, circa 1990.

Got this shirt in the late 90s from Richard "Levelord" Gray when I went down to Dallas and spent time at the 3D Realms office. He sat down with me at his workstation and excitedly showed me the early engine and coolness of the portal tech the game was going to use. It was pretty awesome.

Tonight's meal is roast beef, roasted potatoes, and broccoli. I haven't made roast beef in quite a while and as I've aged, I've lost a lot of my taste for beef, but it turned out quite nicely.

This is like an April's Fool gag that somehow got made...Possibly the most absurd piece of frivolous tech I've seen in a bit.

Sometimes, dumb birds get stuck on my porch and I have to rescue them before the damn cats find them. Never had a cardinal do it before though.

The Italian pork roast is now on the oven. Been a while since I made one, but used to be one of my favorite things to cook. It's butterflied and internally seasoned with a mix of olive oil, garlic, and fennel seeds, which I crushed and gave a quick fry to, along with salt and pepper. #cooking

I found this tiny moth in my bathroom. At least, I think it's a moth. Never seen anything like it.
