The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing.
Nuclear power is mostly a way to funnel massive amounts of taxpayer money into the hands of private energy companies.
It's the most expensive energy source by far, and companies won't build reactors without enormous subsidies
If someone ever manages to make it profitable, it might be an option

Most "nationalist" parties in europe have ties to russia and China. Makes sense that our adversaries would sponsor parties that destabilise and weaken us.

Wait, a left wing candidate that can overtake Melenchon? That's awesome. Hopefully by 2027 he can form his own left coalition to push the right out of France 🙏

I think he does want the war to end, just for his own ego.
He's just genuinely too stupid and misinformed to do a proper attempt.
And I don't believe his handlers want the war to end. Like Tulsi, she's clearly a russian asset.

Ah yes our clown of a PM.
The point he's making is that we need to protect the integrity of our banks and also that we might stand alone if russia sues us.

But honestly after all the EU guarantees that have already been made I don't see how that argument holds.

But he's got other priorities atm.

I bought the #spaceforall shirt on the esa shop, looks great. Proud to wear it :)

Just give the UK the few fish they made such an insanely big deal about.
And then we'll make them drive on the right side of the road, ban the pound, make them drink proper beer and force them to give NI back to the Irish.

Seems fair to me

Epic, I saw the metal plate that was hit by the tungsten balls from the skyranger. Absolutely obliterated.
Now, hopefully, after these field tests, they can get the cost down so we can all buy some. Because I can't imagine these being cheap 😅

Can't wait to get Ukranian produce, hopefully then our farmers will stop poisoning our water table and stop getting massive subsidies to grow the same stuff.

Will this deal remain after 2027? 🫣
November 17, 2025 at 2:06 PM
Hopefully it'll get to fly many missions 🙏

From what I read it's a temporary budget. So now people will get the headline "it's solved" but see that their healthcare is fucked. And then in 3 months there's gonna be a new headline "government shutdown under trump again".

At least federal employees will get paid now, before the holidays. 🤷

Wtf is that belgian flag saying?
November 8, 2025 at 3:58 PM
In 2022, Belgium made it legal again, and in 2024 a law passed to let them work for wages. That way they can get pensions, social security and holidays. Like any other employee. And also full legal standing to be self-employed.

Governments will not have the money to subsidise nuclear energy. And no private company has been able to generate a profit without these subsidies.

Meanwhile wind and solar have great profit margins.
My suggestion would be more batteries and green hydrogen storage.

I had friends who finished high school and had studied Dutch, French, English, German, Spanish, Greek, and Latin. And they were pretty fluent.

The average belgian should, at the very least, learn dutch, french, English, and German.

Watch the VVD hold the country hostage until (at least) March.
To then attempt to keep the far-right in power by forcing smaller parties in the coalition.

The VVD doesn't even have to try because they'll never get blamed and can continue the previous cabinet for the duration of the talks...

Where exactly is public spending on the menu?
All I see around me is the promised destruction of the welfare state to buy more outdated american gear.

But maybe that's just a belgian thing 🫣

Almost every single party had something about building more houses, most like 100.000 homes a year iirc.

But considering coalition negotiations will take a lot of time and diluting party programs, we have to wait and see what actually happens...

Man I can't wait for Hungary to return to the european centre, hopefully for good this time

This has to be just for show right? Like for the public? To pretend they're doing something. What drones will these guys possibly hope to intercept
