Zhao, widely known as CZ, pled guilty in November 2023 to violating anti-money laundering laws and US sanctions. The plea formed part of a sweeping deal with the US Department of Justice, under which Binance was required to pay a record-breaking $4.3 billion penalty.

So the old, silent John Cornyn finally says something publicly (he’s not dead!). He’s a lawyer and former Judge so he knows there is no enforcement available. He’s just toeing the line bc he wants to stay a Texas Senator.. no integrity no shame just hypocrisy. Just like Abbott
