It seemed like most games, or at least a handful of Final Fantasies, were all stories of isekais. Isekai is literally translated as “different world” and is a type of story transports the protagonist to a different world where the characters have little or no knowledge.

Who could forget that tropical sea? I think all of us 13 year old boys saw ourselves as Tidus, or at least wanted to be like him.
Twenty years later, I hold a PhD in Music Composition and finally finished the game.

It was the very first game I rented from our local, independently owned video store—I definitely judged it by it’s cover. In fact, I think this is one of the best cover arts of any video game because it exactly conveys how the game felt playing it.
