Hahaha I think it’s more likely that the algorithm was too busy promoting nonsense.
We should advocate for conferences/orgs to switch over. The only reason I didn’t completely delete my Twitter account was because groups like ASB and IWB post updates there

Smaug’s fire wouldn’t kill a Balrog, but a Balrog could likely pierce Smaug’s hide (weak spot or no).
So the answer to “Does the Balrog have wings?” is the biggest factor in here for me.
If yes, the Balrog wins.
If no, Smaug stays in the air and finds a way to kill it from a distance.
