Is London Spirit considered 'up' from the England job?

When was the last time Sky did even hybrid coverage of international cricket abroad? Almost 10 years ago. They always just take the host feed these days. TNT at least doing more than that.

You need to get No Mow May to catch on over there to give yourself some respite. www.plantlife.org.uk/campaigns/no...
Give power to the flowers this No Mow May!
#NoMowMay is one of the easiest ways to help and connect with wildlife, and the perfect way to start supporting nature in your garden (in May and beyond!).

Is that Statsguru for first-class cricket? If that was made public it would be the best improvement to the website in years.

When they said that they wanted teams named after cities rather than counties, so that modern fans could better identify with them, I don't think naming a team based in South London after 'Mumbai' was the what they had in mind.

...that you were sent. I'm assuming the news article is correct and it's not just India vs Pakistan matches, mainly because the objection seems to mostly be around travel to the host country in general rather than being particular to certain matches.

Yeah they've used different wording in different places which is helpful. In the news article on their website homepage - www.icc-cricket.com/tournaments/... - it doesn't include the word 'between' but the press release on the media page - www.icc-cricket.com/media-releas... - uses the wording...

... Which would obviously be a nightmare for all concerned logistically, but especially for travelling fans.

...What isn't clear is if the knockouts that might feature them will be held on neutral ground anyway or if they will only be moved to neutral ground if the non-host team qualifies.

It's not just matches *between* India and Pakistan. It's all matches involving whichever one of them isn't hosting. So all of Pakistan's matches in India hosted tournaments and all of India's in Pakistan hosted tournaments. If Cricinfo's reporting is accurate then this includes knockout games...

Yeah, clutching at straws for an explanation really.

Is there somewhere that 'Fair Catch' is defined. I can't find it if so. If part of checking it is considered to include if it hit the bat, then it could be concluded that if if hit the bat is a question that can be reviewed by the umpires under the regulations allowing for a fair catch review?

...in the process and that Yorkshire's fuss kicking got them jumped up the queue.

I don't really blame Yorkshire for kicking up a fuss, but teams shouldn't need to have done so to get fair treatment, and which team kicked up a fuss shouldn't be a factor in deciding outcomes. On the Wisden women's podcast this week the ECB all but outright said that 'big' counties were favoured...

Kent were absolutely shafted in the Darwin process. A rich history of producing England players, a dedicated women's cricket facility and the main host of the South East team throughout the regional era (the Stars barely played a game at The Oval from 2020 to 2023). But of course Surrey were...

...moved and yet Yorkshire were rewarded for kicking up that fuss by getting a tier 1 team next year, Kent get nothing. And after all that, Surrey host most games at Kent's women's facility. I'm not even a Kent fan and I'm disgusted by how they've been treated by the ECB, so how must Kent feel?

...able to steamroller in and get the team moved, partly with a promise of playing more games at the main ground whereas Kent would be playing them at their dedicated women's ground. Despite this, Kent took the decision gracefully only to see Yorkshire kick up a fuss because 'their' team had been...
