It is also tough for people who are exceptionally kind and considerate to open up about what they need and want, because they don’t want others to perceive them as needy or a burden. If this is you, please know you are not alone, there are others who can relate, and imagine me giving a big hug!

And that even when surrounded by other people, it is still easy to feel lonely when people perceive few others they’re around as caring as deeply about them as they do about others.

It takes self awareness, growth, and maturity for someone to understand the impact others had on them, and to be able to vocalize and communicate it too. We should consider how we can positively impact those around us and make up for any ways we have hurt others in the past.

Just because one doesn’t speak up in the moment doesn’t mean our positive or negative words or actions aren’t having an impact, especially if they are younger and are not yet in a developmental stage to understand the impact we have on them.
